Using this tool in practice
Choose a crop and enter usable growing space. Supply spacing appropriate for your variety and method: this tool does not impose a worldwide recommendation. Length and width enable a row layout. Open the editor to arrange several beds, set real dimensions and move each bed. Then add tasks with your dates and record available materials.
Fictional demonstration example
Fictional geometry demonstration: a usable 3 × 2 m bed with 0.5 × 0.5 m cells fits 6 × 4 = 24 plants. This is not a crop spacing recommendation. An area of 6 m² alone estimates 24 plants but cannot determine row count.
Formulas, assumptions and limits
Internal dimensions use meters and areas use m². Rectangular capacity = floor(length / plant spacing) × floor(width / row spacing). Area-only capacity = floor(usable area / cell area). Walkways reduce usable area; in rectangular plans they occupy a side strip. Occupancy measures full cells over usable area. Advanced beds are usable areas without internal paths. No commercial yields, climate dates, doses or irrigation volumes are inferred. Visual markers are limited for mobile performance without truncating calculated capacity.
Frequently asked questions
Does the calendar suggest planting dates by region?
No. Enter dates based on local climate, variety and technical guidance. The catalog identifies crops without importing third-party agronomic datasets. Manual spacing is required for every crop.
Where are projects stored?
